Project Description

The UCSF Rosenman Institute provides startups with expertise and mentor-ship from stakeholders across the healthcare industry. The Institute is inviting (40) startups to pitch on May 4 or 5 to a panel of judges comprised of financial/strategic investors, subject matter experts, and clinicians. The judges will select (10) startups as the 2021 Rosenman Innovators.

If selected, your startup will:

  • Receive coaching in communications, product development, IP, clinical/regulatory, reimbursement, marketing and business strategy from our network of experts.
  • Present to a select group of investors and industry partners.
  • Showcase your startup at the high-profile Rosenman Symposium on June 10, 2021.
  • Be eligible to receive a range of valuable in-kind services to help you accelerate your technology.

Who Can Apply?

Early-stage health technology companies (up to and including Series A investment) based in California, or with a senior leadership position based in California. No university affiliation is required. If you have applied in previous years but not been chosen for the final cohort, we welcome you to apply again if your startup has made progress.

How Can I be Selected for In-Kind Services?

Our participating partners will choose the recipients of their services from among the (10) Rosenman Innovators. Services include prototyping, IP strategy, pre-clinical studies, regulatory, reimbursement consultation, and more. Criteria for matching a startup to a particular service include technology, market potential, and how much the startup would benefit. Learn more at https://rosenmaninstitute.org/partner-with-us
